This is what Jacob did...


I wish you could see it better. It sure is hard to get a 18 month old to stick out his tongue for a photo.

Jacob knocked his chin on the desk and bit into his tongue. It is pretty deep. Lots of blood and tears, two calls to the Pediatrician, and a trip to the InstaCare with two doctors and two nurses later he is doing much better. We were told if it was on the side of his tongue he would have needed stitches (which would have involved a trip to the ER at Primary Children's and sedation).

Now we just have to watch for signs of an infection. Oh, and no acidic or salty food for Jacob for a few days...
